Community is at the centre of everything that we do.
Every community has people who need a little more support. Older residents who feel isolated. Young people who need somewhere safe and welcoming. Families facing hardship. People going through difficult times with no one to turn to. This charity exists for them. For decades, we've been offering practical help, friendly faces, and a genuine sense of belonging to some of the most vulnerable people in our town, providing the spaces, activities, and quiet, personal support that can make all the difference to someone's day, and their life. Where children with additional needs build confidence in a supportive environment, and where families facing tough times can still give their children joy without worry about cost. Our baby natal and sensory support, SEN preschool sessions and specialist SEN support aren't add-ons - they're at the heart of who we are. As a registered charity and Real Living Wage employer, we prove that excellent standards and genuine community heart go hand in hand. We're where community comes to play - a place where every family finds welcome, dignity, and joy.
Dan’s Den created for the community
The church and the congregation trusted church member, Maggie Sharman whose vision and the unanimous decision to transform Riddings Hall into a soft play centre and café, named Dan’s Den, reflects both courage and belief in the positive impact it could have in the community.
Baby Natal and SEN in the DEN
Our baby natal and sensory support, SEN preschool sessions and specialist SEN support aren't add-ons - they're at the heart of who we are. Our SEN in the DEN sessions help children with additional needs to build confidence in a supportive environment.
Real Living Wage Employer
We are focused on nurturing our community and this includes our dedicated team who are paid the real living wage. This is part of our commitment to hold ourselves to a high standard and value our hard-working team.
Birthday Parties
We offer both Exclusive or Non-exclusive Birthday Parties. The non-exclusive option is in the morning. In the afternoon we offer two possibilities for exclusive parties. Saturdays only.
Great Food and Fair Trade Artisan Coffee
Quality runs through everything that we do. We offer an extensive menu of cook to order food and a wide selection of specialty coffee. As a registered charity and Real Living Wage employer, we prove that excellent standards and genuine community heart go hand in hand.
Awards Winning Party Provider
This award from Wharfedale & Craven Mumbler represents that Dan's Den offers exceptionally good birthday parties. Dan's Den in Ilkley was voted Mumbler's Favourite Children's Party Provider in both 2022 and 2023.
